Sanjay Dutt denies contesting LS poll, extends support to sister Priya Dutt
Sanjay Dutt has set records for once and for all. Giving halt to all the rumors, the actor said on Monday that he is not contesting the Lok Sabha elections.
He also gave full support to his sister Priya Dutt, who is a Congress candidate from Mumbai Northwest constituency.
In the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2019, urging people to cast their vote, the actor tweeted and wrote, “The rumor about me contesting for the Lok Sabha elections is not true. I stand with my country and in full support for my sister Priya Dutt. I urge everyone to come out in maximum numbers and cast their votes for our nation!”

Sanjay Dutt has not always kept the distance from politics. Sanjay was a Samajwadi Party candidate for the Lucknow Parliamentary Constituency in 2009.
However, after the court refused to suspend his opinion under the Arms Act, and he had to withdraw his name.
Earlier in this month, Salman Khan also put a full stop to all speculations of him entering into the political arena and tweeted, “Contrary to the rumors I am not contesting elections nor campaigning for any political party.”
Even though both of them made it clear that they are not participating in the big race this year, they have urged people to vote as many other Bollywood celebrities did.
A few days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged many Bollywood celebrities to raise awareness for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and ask their fans to cast their vote.
PM Narendra Modi has asked many celebrities including Salman, Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, among many others to use their mass appeal to inspire the citizens of India to participate in the upcoming elections of 2019.
