VRV Singh, the Indian pacer who recently played five test matches in 2006-07. has declared his retirement after a career persistently hampered by injury. On Sunday Former Chief Justice of India (CJI) R M Lodha opined that sports bodies should refrain from taking political calls as their function is to run the sport. In an exclusive telephonic communication with ANI, Lodha said, “Unless government snaps all sports activities with Pakistan, sports bodies should not take a political call.
