China opens the world's longest sea-crossing bridge! And its's incredible


After nine years of controversial development, China’s president Xi Jinping has officially opened the world’s longest sea bridge Zhuhai-Macau Bridge in Hong Kong.

As per the breaking news today, the world’s longest bridge will connect Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China. But corresponding to critics many people would not be given access to the bridge.

The 55-kilometer bridge, which consists of an undersea tunnel and snaking road bridge, connects Zhuhai to Hong Kong’s Lantau island as well as the Chinese enclave Macau, over the waters of the Pearl River estuary.

As per the Zhuhai designer, “Towers above the bridge have been designed to look like dolphins, in honor of the white dolphin. The bridge’s curves are meant to resemble a snake”.

Not only Hong Kong Zhuhai Macau bridge is the longest bridge in the world, but it is also one of the world’s most unusual roadways, with cameras to catch yawning, drivers needed to wear heart monitors .

According to some Hong Kong media journalists, the physical condition of drivers on the crossing would be detected by cameras, as well as a signal sent if a driver yawns more than expected time in 20 seconds.

The bridge is open to traffic from today. The development of the bridge was commenced in 2009 and has been hounded by corruption prosecutions, delays, deaths of construction laborers and the budget overruns.

People are granted to travel across the bridge on private buses and private coaches. Drivers of cars will only be allowed to use it simply if they commit for a special permission and the crossing won’t be served by public transport.

As per the latest breaking news, The launching of the world’s longest cross-sea bridge also sparked criticism as citizens of Hong Kong criticized the bridge saying it’s just a waste of taxpayer funds.

However, World’s longest sea bridge Authorities said they look after ways to avoid disturbing areas where the endangered species of pink dolphins were most active.
