Excess salt in your dish? See these magic remedies to balance the taste
I guess all of us must have faced this situation where we have cooked a dish with so much of love and effort but unfortunately would have sprinkled too much or a bit more salt into the dish. Isn’t it?

It so sad when our efforts in cooking a dish go in vain as the excess salt completely change the taste of the dish regardless of the fact how good you made that dish. Salt not only fade the taste but also nullifies the aroma of the dish.
So here in this section, you will see some easy tricks that will help in reducing the amount of excess salt from your curries.
Wheat Flour Dough
If you already have wheat flour dough prepared for chapattis mostly; just make small ball s of the dough and add it to the gravy/curry of your vegetable. Keep it there for about 10–15 minutes and then take it out. Taste your curry again; your palette will feel the difference. This remedy is effective because wheat flour dough has salt absorbing abilities and therefore it saves your dish from becoming a salty one.
Tip: The size and number of balls of wheat dough depend on the quality of gravy; if the gravy is more in which there is excess salt you need to add more balls of big size and then vice-versa.
Raw Potato
Cut some slices of raw potatoes and dip them in your dish. Potato slices will absorb the excess salt from the curry. Leave those potato slices for about 20 minutes and do not forget to wash and peel the potatoes before pouring them into the dish.
Fresh cream (Malai)
To balance the effect of overflow salt, add cream to your dish. It will make the add creamy taste to the gravy and you will not feel the taste of excessive salt.
Boiled potato
Adding boiled potatoes in your curry and leave those pieces of boiled potatoes in the dish only. It is not necessary to eliminate boiled potatoes as it will result in making a new dish.

Onion
You can go for raw as well as fried onions. If you are adding raw onion then cut the onion in two half and put it in the curry and take out those onion pieces after few minutes. It will soak the excess amount of salt.
