Kohli dedicates the massive victory to the Kerala Flood Victims
As per the latest sports news, India outshined with an all-around performance to dominate over England in the third test match by 203 runs at Trent Bridge on Wednesday. With this sealed win, India now trails the series and England by 1–2 in the five-Test match series. Needing just one wicket to lock the victory on the fifth and final day, Ravichandran Ashwin took the wicket of James Anderson (11) in the first session itself on the fifth day.

On the fourth day, Jasprit Bumrah bowled a master spell with a five-wicket haul in his comeback match after his thumb injury in International Test career. He finished his bowling figures with 5/85.
Ishant Sharma also contributed taking two wickets while Mohammad Shami, Ashwin, and Hardik Pandya took one wicket each in the second innings.

Yet again it was a magnificent performance with the bat by the skipper, Virat Kohli who scored 97 and 103 in the respective first and second innings. It was a dream come true performance by Pandya who took his maiden five-wicket haul in the first innings and in the second scored a half-century too.

Earlier on the fourth day, the last wicket partnership of Adil Rashid and James played nearly six overs. Swashbuckling stroke players Buttler and Stokes played their natural game of cricket and added 169 runs in 57.2 overs.
It was a harsh time for the Indian bowlers as the two players were in full form to make a way for their side. Buttler smashed 106 runs with 21 boundaries and more importantly encountered 176 deliveries along with Ben Stokes facing 187 deliveries, only hitting six fours.
Virat Kohli, the Indian captain was adjudged “Man of the Match” for his flamboyant performance in both the innings.

With his wrap up, Virat dedicated this special victory to Kerala flood victims as he said at the presentation ceremony, “ We would like to dedicate this victory to Kerala flood victims, its a tough time there and this is the minimum we can do on our part. The victory was much needed to keep the series alive, the credit goes to the entire dressing room. We didn’t panic, we were outplayed in only one game out of the last 5, and that was Lord’s. We dominated in this game because we put runs on the board and then the bowlers did well, even Ashwin did well with his injury. The batsmen did well to give them a cushion to go hard. Even the slips did well, and this mix of all skills couldn’t have come at a better time. Ajinkya was clear in his mindset in the first innings, and when he goes out and plays like that, he can change the game. They’re a quality attack and you need grit and determination, and Ajinkya did that in the first innings and Pujara in the 2nd. I haven’t thought about the 2014 failures, but I’d like to thank my wife who is here and keeps motivating me. The four fastest bowlers in the series have been Indians and we’re proud of our fitness levels. We want the opposition to bat well and get runs and we don’t want to gift them any. We definitely believe we can come back from 0–2 to 3–2 if we keep performing the way we have done in this Test, we just need to keep moving forward, keep winning.”
